Many a times, the batteries get corroded as a result of the change in the season. Also, take note of the ignition system. The ignition system is the worst affected during the winter season. So, make sure that you check that too. Another aspect that you need to take note of is the washer fluid. In the winter season, it is quite a possibility that the washer jets will freeze. You can prevent freeing of water by adding anti freeze in the washer bottle. But, you need to ensure that you are adding the antifreeze in the right quantity. During winters, your car needs some warmth too. So, when you first start your car, don't just get driving right away. Start you car and keep it stationary for some time. This will heat the car. Once the care is heated enough, you can embark on your journey. Practicing this will also avoid any kind of driving issues as you travel. Even though you have prepared your car to brave the winter season, it is important you exercise some safety measures. This is because a majority of car accidents take place during the winter season itself. Try to keep an emergency kit handy. Flashlight, radio, blanket, first aid, jumper cables etc are some things that you must have in your emergency kit. You must take great care of your car during the winter season else you could leave it damaged. Or even worse, you might even incur accidents as a result of your carelessness.
